Clearwater River Spring Chinook Anticipated Numbers

It Should Be A Great Season Again in 2024

Attention all fishing enthusiasts! The stage is set, the quotas are in, and the countdown to an epic angling adventure on the Clearwater River has officially begun. With Idaho Fish & Game setting the season quota at 1,300 Chinook, anticipation is at a fever pitch!

Past seasons have seen this coveted quota vanish in the blink of an eye, and with forecasted water conditions promising prime fishing conditions, this season is poised to be a whirlwind of excitement. But here’s the catch – quite literally – we’re currently granted the opportunity to fish four days a week, from Thursday through Sunday. With such limited time on the water, every moment counts!

Mark your calendars, anglers, because the peak of this spectacular Chinook run is slated from May 20th to the first week of June. But heed this warning: the window of opportunity may be shorter than you think. With the possibility of the season closing after just two weekends during the peak of the run, hesitation is not an option!

Now, here’s the scoop: while the 1,300 fish quota is based on forecasts and subject to change, we’re crossing our fingers for a bountiful run that exceeds expectations. Who knows? If luck is on our side and the river teems with more Chinook than anticipated, we may just get to extend the fishing frenzy a little longer than planned!

So don’t delay, book your spot now, and seize the chance to reel in your trophy catch on the Clearwater River. With adventure beckoning and the promise of angling glory on the horizon, this is one fishing expedition you won’t want to miss!
