For the first time in 4 or 5 years it is looking like we will be providing trips on the Clearwater River for the prized spring Chinook. The Idaho Fish & Game commission met last week to set the season. Based on forecast numbers and a quota of around 2,500 fish, the commission voted to open the season 7 days a week with a 1 adult 3 jack limit. Fishing generally will pick up mid May depending on run timing and we are hopeful we will be able to fish through the first week of June. This all depends on quota catch and what the run actually comes in as. Since this is the first season in many years we expect to fill boats fairly fast so be sure to get your trip booked early. The calendar will be open from May 15 to June 8 with adjustments made as the run progresses.
