Idaho Fishing Guides

Reel Time Fishing offers guided fishing trips in the State of Idaho on the Clearwater River and Dworshak Reservoir. In Idaho, you must be a licensed outfitter with the Idaho Outfitters and Guides Licensing Board. Reel Time Fishing owns two lower Clearwater River permits which allow our guides to fish Lewiston, ID to Orofino, ID, and operate up to six boats per day. Reel Time Fishing also owns one upper Clearwater River permit that allows our guides to operate Spring Salmon trips from Orofino, ID to Kooskia, ID. Our newest permit allows us to operate two boats a day on Dworshak Reservoir. Idaho is home to thousands of miles of pristine rivers and lakes which offer up some of the world’s greatest spawning habitats for Salmon, Steelhead, and Trout. Reel Time Fishing is fortunate enough to be able to offer guided fishing trips for Steelhead and Salmon on one of these pristine rivers.

Our pride and joy, the Clearwater River, is known as one of the world’s greatest Steelhead rivers. The Clearwater is over 70 miles long and we can offer guided trips on 40 miles of it. We target Steelhead July through March, with October being our busiest, most lucrative season. Check out our Steelhead page to learn more about what we offer, or Contact Us to book your trip today.

Dworshak Reservoir is one of Idaho’s largest man-made reservoirs that spans over 60 miles behind Dworshak Dam. This dam was built in the 1970s for flood control. Dworshak took out the entire spawning habitat for the Northfork Clearwater strain of Steelhead and Salmon, but in return, it has provided Idaho with world-class Smallmouth Bass fishing that draws tournament anglers from all over the country as well as one of the healthiest populations of Kokanee in the state. We offer guided fishing trips on Dworshak from Spring to Fall for both Smallmouth Bass and Kokanee. Visit our Smallmouth Bass or Kokanee pages to learn more, or Contact Us today to book your trip.
