Pre-Spawn Time is when We Can Target these Bigger Fish
Fall Walley Fishing:
January through March offers some of the best walleye fishing of the year. The fish are in pre-spawn mode waking up from a winter slumber as temperatures in the river begin to rise they start to think about spawning.
This pre-spawn time is one of the only times throughout the year when we can target these bigger fish effectively using the jigging technique.
Summer Walley Fishing:
June thourgh August at Lyons Ferry on the Snake River offers an absolutely incredible time for Walleye fishing. Imagine reeling in a whopping 17 lb Walleye, not once, but twice during August! It’s during this time that the larger Walleye seem to be at their prime for feeding. And that’s not all – Bass and Catfish are abundant, providing an exciting and diverse fishing experience. Picture yourself catching 50 fish of various species – a true adventure!
But it doesn’t stop there. Lyons Ferry is a remote and captivating area, boasting other attractions such as Palouse Falls and Little Goose Dam. When you’re not on the water, you can find comfort in cabins or RV rental spaces at the Lyons Ferry KOA. This is not only a convenient launching spot for your boat, but also a hub for making unforgettable memories. As an alternative, many clients choose to stay in the charming town of Dayton, WA at the renowned Best Western.
Get ready for an engaging fishing experience like no other – join us at Lyons Ferry on the Snake River this August!

We take a lead head jig and we bounce it off the bottom with worms it’s a very satisfying way to catch a walleye as it is hands-on you feel the bite you set the hook it’s much more intense than just trolling where your rod is in a holder.
We are currently fishing for walleye in these two areas: Snake River at Lyons ferry at Starbuck and Lyons Ferry and Columbia River at John Day Dam.
