Clearwater River –
2021 will be the third season on the Clearwater where we will be able to harvest fall Chinook. There will be a few changes to the season this year:Limit will be 3 adults (clipped/hatchery or unclipped/wild) up from only being able to harvest 1 unclipped/wildFishing will occur 7 days a week instead of 4 daysWe expect to see a run similar to last year. Prime time will be Sept. 26th to Oct. 14th
Clearwater River Coho –
Last year anglers that fished with us Sept. – Nov. know that the lower Clearwater was chocked full of Coho jacks. We often saw all rods loaded with these jacks on every drift. Based on this huge jack run we expect to see our largest Coho adult return ever. Counts over Bonneville Dam are backing our expectations. IDFG has forecasted the Clearwater River Coho return to be 14,000 fish, nearly double last year’s return of 7,797.
The limit for Coho:2 adults clipped or unclippedUnlimited jacksBoth of these fisheries will provide some great fishing in early October. We are taking bookings now for combo Chinook and Coho trips. Hooking into some HOT steelhead during this trip occurs frequently too!
